SPAGHETTI SUPPER - Saturday March 21, serving 5pm-7pm. Join us for the annual Spaghetti Supper featuring Allentown's Famous Skelly's Secret Sauce. Enjoy this all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner which includes salad, bread and butter, spaghetti, beverage and dessert for just $7 for adults, $5 for children (5-12), free for children 4 and under. Tickets on sale now... and may be purchased on a Sunday morning or in the church office. Proceeds will be matched by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and will benefit St. Peter's Youth activities. Youth volunteers will be needed to serve and clean off tables.

McDonald's Family Fun Nite- March 12. St. Peter's Youth Group will host a Family Fun Nite at McDonald's on Union Boulevard in Allentown, on Thursday March 12 from 4pm-8pm. A portion of all sales (eat in or takeout) will benefit St. Peter's Youth Group activities. Please join us at McDonald's on March 12.

Animals in Distress- A Kennel of Hope: Beginning in February, Bethany Greb and Dakota Sarbaugh (and a friend of theirs, Ashley Brader) will be collecting and cat and dog items, as well as monetary donations to support a local animal shelter. Once every month they take the time to help some friends in need.... meaning they go to Animals in Distress and clean cat and dog kennels and also play with the furry friends. They are asking for your help to raise money and pet supplies for all of the animals at Animals in Distress. They are asking for any of the following items and any more that you can think of: Cat beds/toys, dog beds/toys, cat treats, dry/wet cat food, dog treats, dry/wet dog food, old used blankets/towels, however they ask that no rawhide snacks are donated. A container will be placed in the east narthex for your donations. Thank you.

Scout Sunday- Join us during 10:45am worship on Sunday March 22 for Scout Sunday with a special Children's Time planned with special music being presented by St. Peter's Sunday School Choir.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny- Everyone is welcome to attend Breakfast with theEaster Bunny on Saturday April 11 from 9am-11am. The price for everyone is $5, which includes pancakes, sausage and beverage, and a photo with the Easter Bunny along with a frame for you to decorate. St. Peter's Egg Hunt for children age 0-10 will be held immediately following the breakfast.

LCS Inc. 36th Annual Dinner - Lutheran Congregational Services, Inc. will be celebrating their 36th annual dinner on Tuesday March 3 in the Seeger Union on the Muhlenberg College Campus (2400 Chew St., Allentown). The keynote speaker for the evening will be Ms. Jill Schumann, President and CEO of Lutheran Services in America.
Ms. Schumann is a dynamic and thought-provoking speaker regarding the service and advocacy roles of the church. During the evening, there will be opportunities to recognize congregations and individuals for their partnership with LCS and its ministries. The evening will conclude with Holden Evening Prayer.
The cost for the dinner is $22 per person. Menu choices include Chicken Breast Diane, Roast Pork Loin with Sweet Potato Mash or Tortellini with Spinach and Cherry Tomatoes. To make a reservation, call LCS at 610-770-9205.

Kitchen remodel Prep Help needed- The paint is here... now all we need are volunteers to help with the church kitchen 'do over'. Help will be needed to scrub the cabinets for repainting as well as other odd jobs that may need to be done before the painting begins. Watch the Sunday bulletin for dates when help will be needed.

TRIP OF A LIFETIME... Join us in 2009 (November 4-14) for an 11 day trip to Italy. The trip will be hosted by Pastors Gary and Betty and will include visits to Venice, Florence, the Sorrento Area, and Rome. The 11-day tour (from New York) will cost $2699.
The tour features... round trip airfare from New York, accomodations at first class hotels, most meals, services of professional tour escort, comprehensive sightseeing throughout, $100,000 automatic flight insurance, and all service charges and local hotel taxes.
The 11 day excursion will allow you to experience all the highlights that this magnificent country has to offer. After flying from New York, the trip will begin in the city of Venice which is actually built on 118 small islands. From Venice, on to Pisa where you will see the famous leaning tower, and then on to Florence, the cradle of Renaissance art. From Florence, you will travel south through the Neapolitan countryside to the cliff top town of Sorrento. From the Sorrento area, the group will head to ancient Ponpeii, after exploring the ruins caused by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in the year 79 AD, the group will head to Rome.
