Sunday, October 8, 1 PM -Blessing of Pets
Bring your pets for a special blessing and celebrate the kinship we share with all of God’s creatures.
All animals must be leashed or caged and owners are responsible for any “clean-up” after your pets. If your pet cannot be brought to the Blessing, a photo of your pet may be brought and it will be blessed. In case of inclement weather, the Blessing will be held in the gym.

WELCA, Tuesday, October 10
All women of St Peter’s are invited to attend our monthly WELCA events, September through April, the second Tuesday of the month in room #106 at 7:00 PM. May and June we meet at 6:30 PM.
October topic is Stories behind your favorite hymns.
Refreshments and fellowship after each meeting.

Thursday, October 12, 2017, Crab Patty Sale
“BEST” Crab Patties Around!– These crab patties are prepared by the St. Peter’s Kitchen Ministry Team.  Order your crab patties no later than Sunday, September 24 for October 12 pick-up. Cost is $3.00 per patty (breaded or unbreaded).  Crab patties are made FRESH and ready to prepare your favorite way.  All orders must include a phone number as you will be called when your order is ready.  There are three ways to order:

  1. Fill out an order form (available in the Sunday bulletin, newsletter, or in the East Narthex) and place in one of our Crab Patty Cans located in the East Narthex or at the kitchen window.
  2. Fill out an order form and return to the church office.
  3. Call the church office at 610-432-8762 to place your order.  Phone is voice mail activated.

Sunday, October 15, End Hunger Sunday-Harvest Home
World Food Day is always October 16. Join ELCA World Hunger and people around the world to commemorate this day. The goal of World Food Day is to create awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger as we work toward ensuring food security for all.
Please bring your donations on the first two Sundays in October. They can be placed in the deacon’s box or placed in the church office.

Deadline to order is Sunday, October 15, 2017.
Order your choice of Blueberry Crumb, Rhubarb Custard, and Apple Crumb. Available in 5″ or 9″ pies.
Cost is as follows:
5″ Blueberry Crumb $4.50
5″ Rhubarb Custard $4.00
5″ Apple Crumb $4.00

9″ Blueberry Crumb $9.00
9″ Rhubarb Custard $8.00
9″ Apple Crumb $8.00

To order: 1) Call the church office, 610-432-8762, 2) Fill out an order form and place in the box in the East Narthex, or 3) Fill out a form and deposit in the can on the cart by the kitchen.

Trunk or Treat – Hosted by St. Peter’s Youth – Saturday, Oct. 18  (Rain Date:  Oct. 22) 2:00 – 3:30 PM– Members are asked to decorate their car trunks or truck beds for Halloween to hand out Halloween candy to ‘Trick or Treaters’. Kids will go from trunk to trunk to get their treats. Sign-up sheet is available in the East Narthex to enter your vehicle in the event.

SatSaturday, October 28, and Sunday, October 29: Ken Medema
St. Peter’s is proud to be hosting Ken Medema, a talented blind musician this weekend. All performances are free.
At 4 PM on Saturday, Ken Medema will perform a free concert in our nave.
At 10:45 AM, Sunday, he will perform at our Worship Service. Please note only one service that day.
At 3 PM, Sunday, Ken will play as St Peter’s hosts the Lehigh Mission District Reformation Service.

If you knit, crochet, embroider, etc, please join us the last Tuesday of the month for some crafting and socializing.
